Suzana Mihanović was born on July 08, 1980. in Nova Gradiška, Croatia. She finished elementary school in Nova Gradiška enrolled Mathematics Gymnasium in Nova Gradiška and finished it in 1998. During the period from 1998 until 2004 she enrolled University of Zagreb, Faculty of Textile Technology, and graduated at the same Faculty with the theme „ Secondary effects of the washing process according to RAL ” (under the mentorship of Prof. Dr.sc. Tanja Pušić ). She is employed as  technologist at Leather factory Psunj d.o.o. in Rešetari, Croatia from 2005.  She enrolled Doctoral study Enginnering Chemistry on University of Zagreb Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, 2007. She is a member of Society of Leather Technologists and Chemists in United Kingdom.

Her areas of research and interest are: production of leather: materials and conditions for production of leather,  hydrophobisation of leather, examination and testing of the leather, enviromental aspect of leather production.
