According to planned activities in WP4, antibacterial treatments of produced knitted fabrics have been conducted. Antibacterial effectiveness of treated materials was determined using qualitative and quantitative methods according to international standards:
- EN ISO 20645:2004 Textile fabrics – Determination of antibacterial activity – Agar diffusion plate test
- EN ISO 20743:2013 Textiles — Determination of antibacterial activity of textile products
- absorption method (an evaluation method in which the test bacterial suspension is inoculated directly onto specimens) and
- transfer method (an evaluation method in which test bacteria are placed on an agar plate and transferred onto specimens).
