Jadranka Akalović

Jadranka Akalović was born on 10th of October 1951 in Vareš, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Upon completing of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics University of Sarajevo in 1976 (chemistry engineer diploma) she worked in Factory of Soda, Tuzla (1978 – 1980.) In Cibalia Vinkovci – Leather Factory Industry she worked from 1980 to 1992, following Astra, Zagreb Shoe Industry and Trade (1993 to 2000). In Vocational High-School, Vinkovci she worked from 1982 to 1990. In Technology Development Centre, University of Osijek she started to work 2005 until 2008. In 2009 she started to work at Faculty of Textile Technology, University of Zagreb where she is still working. She worked on many projects such as: Technology project (TP 00117-015) related to construction and production technology footwear suitable for washing in aqueous media (2005.-2008.); Technology project (TP-07/0120-01) related to washable sheepskin (2005.); Compound technological research-development project STIRP Croatian anthropometric system (2004.), Technology project (TP 03/125-26) related to washable leather (2003). Her area of interest is application of new exhibition resources in technological processes chrom–free tanning sheep and cow leather and the properties of finished leather for special purposes (washability, the application of infrared technology).
