Ivana Špelić

Assistant professor Ivana Špelić, Ph.D. was born on 11th September of 1982 in Zagreb, Croatia. She received her Master’s degree as the Engineer of Textile Technology in 2009 at University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology. The same year she became the research associate at the Department of Clothing Technology and finished postgraduate scientific doctoral study Textile Science and Technology in 2016 under title “Impact of construction parameters on thermal properties of clothing” supervised by prof. D. Rogale, Ph.D. From 2019, she works as Assistant professor at the Department of Basic, Natural and Technical Sciences at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Textile Technology. The areas of special research interest are textile technology and engineering, clothing technology, energetics, technical thermodynamics, energy management in industry and new and renewable energy sources. In 2015 she finished three months research training at University of Maribor Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Slovenia. She published 1 scientific monography, 1 book chapter, 7 original scientific papers, 13 scientific papers at international conferences, and several professional and scientific papers at national conferences. She worked as member of organisational, technical and implementing committees at several international scientific conferences and received 2 scientific awards (Certificate of award Gold medal at Kaohsiung International and Design Expo, World Invention Intellectual Property Associations (WIIPA) in 2017, as well as Certificate awarded as member of ITC&DC 2014 Team in 2014, organized under the auspices of DAAAM International Vienna, Austria).
